PEP Mini Grants

The Peconic Estuary Partnership (PEP) is pleased to announce the 2025 Mini-Grant Funding Winners for projects in the Peconic Estuary and Watershed. The 2025 PEP Mini Grant will implement a project that assists in accomplishing PEP’s 2020 Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan (CCMP) goal of Clean Waters for Ecosystem Health and Safe Recreation. Additionally, Action 8 from the Strong Partnerships and Engagement section was included in this call.

The 2025 winners were:

  • Ninevah Beach Property Owners’ Association (NBPOA) with Green Infrastructure Installation: Stormwater Abatement at the East End of Harding Terrace (NB-2) to Protect Little Northwest Creek
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, Agricultural Stewardship Program with Creating an on-farm weather monitoring network to improve agricultural Stewardship
  • Peconic Baykeeper with Peconic River Litter Trap

The 2024 winners were:

  • The Perfect Earth Project with “Reducing Nutrient Pollution in the Peconic Estuary Watershed Though Residential Outreach and Nature-Based Land Care Education”.
  • The Accabonac Protection Committee with “Enhancing Water Quality Communications in the Accabonac Watershed
  • The Citizen Science Learning Center with “Adopt-a-pond Water Quality Monitoring and Pond Keepers Educational Programing”
