ReWild North Fork Spring Sustainable Garden Tour 2025
June 21 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
ReWild North Fork Sustainable Garden Tour 2025 – Gardens & Meadows Spring Tour.
We’re showcasing some of our friends and neighbors’ gardens or meadows. These sustainable green spaces can inspire and teach others (even if it’s what didn’t work) and have some or many native and pollinator-friendly plants. Many gardeners are rethinking their lawns, refusing chemicals, moving towards incorporating native plants and away from invasive and exotic plants. The birds, pollinators, and local wildlife but also the Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound, our sole source aquifer, depend on you.
Gardens and meadows are messy, experimental, transitional spaces, ever-changing as we move towards including more native species and follow the CROWN, the ReWild key tenets (Compost, Reuse, Organic, Water-wise and Native).
- These tours are free to the public, and there’s no compensation to the gardeners, just the joy of sharing their garden or meadow and knowledge with others.
- Some gardens are in private residences, please respect their privacy, know that the homes are off limits.
- Respect the stated time frames, don’t show up before 10, or after 1, or on a different day.
- There will be a fall tour on September 13 (rain date Sept.14); you can return to see some gardens again and some different ones.
ReWild North Fork + Southold Peconic Civic Association are the sponsors of these tours.
Thanks for making North Fork green spaces healthier, more biodiverse, ecological, and sustainable. Here’s to more trees, flowers, butterflies, fireflies, and birds!
