Why Use Native Plants

This is a copy of the sign posted next to the PEP-funded native plant demonstration garden at “The Big Duck”, which was installed through a partnership between PEP, Friends of the Big Duck, the Town of Southampton, Group for the East End, and the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission. The sign features photographs of native plants, insects and birds attracted by them, and information about native plants and their use in landscapes.
