Protecting & Restoring Long Island's Peconic Bays
As you may be aware, Suffolk County is currently conducting the ten year review of their Aquaculture Lease Program. The Peconic Estuary Program has offered to facilitate the environmental community on the East End in an effort to create a robust and informed group of our environmental partners to add their voices to the conversation as this review is carried out.
We are requesting your attendance at the SC Aquaculture Ten Year Review – Environmental Partners Focus Group on THURSDAY MARCH, 21ST 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the first floor conference room, Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 423 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901-3071. Please see the attached formal notification from Suffolk County regarding this Focus Group.
The Peconic Estuary Program acts as a bridge at the boundary between science and policy and wishes to host a forum where our partners can ask questions and carry out discussions with respect. We are hopeful that our partners can offer informed recommendations for the ten year review process.
