Protecting & Restoring Long Island's Peconic Bays
An exciting opportunity within Audubon New York’s Conservation Department to enhance and manage priority coastal habitats for the benefit of shorebirds and other coastal species. The position is based out of the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center in Oyster Bay, NY.
“The Program Associate – Coasts, is part of the conservation team and is instrumental in advancing Audubon’s bird conservation efforts on Long Island. The position focuses on conservation of coastal birds and their habitats through Audubon’s coastal resilience and stewardship strategies. Primary activities include conservation, stewardship, and restoration to benefit priority coastal birds and their habitats, with an emphasis on shorebirds and other beach-nesting birds. The position also assists with outreach, advocacy, and fundraising efforts to reduce threats to priority bird species and protect critical coastal habitats.”
